How NIGHTHOOD works
The stock market closes at 4:00 PM. The world doesn't. NIGHTHOOD turns the hours in between into a market.

The problem: a market that sleeps through its own news
The NYSE regular session runs 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET, Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours out of a 168-hour week. 81% of the week, the official price of every stock in the world is frozen. Meanwhile, earnings drop at 4:05 PM, guidance gets cut on Sunday calls, wars start on weekends, and the Fed leaks whenever it wants.
For decades, the only people who could act on overnight information were institutions with access to futures and dark pools. Retail watched the pre-market and waited.
The unlock: Robinhood Chain
On July 1, 2026, Robinhood launched its own Ethereum L2 with tokenized equities. Stock Tokens, trading natively, 24/7, in more than 120 countries. For the first time in history there is a liquid, public, on-chain price for NVDA at 3 AM on a Sunday.
That price minus the frozen Wall Street close is the gap. NIGHTHOOD is the first protocol built entirely around it.
One night, one cycle
1 · 4:00 PM ET, the bell rings
Wall Street freezes. The last official close becomes the reference price for every gap market. The night session opens.
2 · All night, the gap forms
Stock Tokens keep trading on Robinhood Chain. News gets priced in real time. You can take a position on where the stock officially reopens: long the gap (reopens above the close) or short the gap (reopens below). Prefer passive? Park capital in a Night Vault.
3 · 9:30 AM ET, the print settles everything
Wall Street reopens and the official opening print is delivered on-chain via Chainlink. All gap positions settle against that one number. No committees, no disputes, the bell is the judge.
